Directions to John Knox Center

Please allow 50 minutes for driving.

 

From I-40

1.                 Take I-40 West to the Kingston Exit #352.

2.                 The exit ramp circles around. At the bottom turn right. This is highway 58. Take it through town.

 

3.                 Continue on 58. You will see the Clinch River will be on the right. Within a few miles you will cross the Tennessee River .

 

4.                 Two miles after the bridge turn right on county road #304 (River Road ). Before getting to #304 the road will go up a hill with two lanes (fast;slow). River Rd. is a well marked intersection.

 

5.                 Proceed 8 miles on #304 (also called River Rd ) and turn right onto Maple Grove Rd. There is a prominent yellow sign with an arrow to Camp John Knox Presbyterian Camp. The sign is about 15 feet down Maple Grove Rd.

 

6.                 Continue on Maple Grove Rd for approximately 2 miles and John Knox Presbyterian Camp will be on your left. There is a prominent John Knox sign at the entrance.

 

At Camp John Knox – Peninsula 2

1.     When you turn into John Knox Presbyterian Camp immediately turn left (180 degrees from your previous direction on Maple Grove Rd ).

 

2.     Continue on this road to our campsite. The road gets very narrow, turns to dirt, and the lake will be on your right. Keep going you are almost there!

Camp Buck Toms is located directly across Watts Bar Lake from Camp John Knox.
